The House
Slower, kinder, longer.
Sustainability at RIPA isn't a claim — it's the architecture of the house. Fewer styles. Better fibers. Pieces built to remain in your wardrobe for a decade.
We are a small team and we make no perfect promises. What we offer is honesty about every choice, and the patience to keep improving the ones that fall short.
01
Considered fibers
Recycled polyamide, Tencel™ Lyocell, organic cotton, and Italian-milled jerseys with traceable supply. We avoid virgin polyester wherever a softer, longer-lasting alternative exists.
02
Small batches
We sew in modest runs of 60–180 pieces per style. Unsold inventory is rare by design; never destroyed, ever.
03
Lifetime mending
Every RIPA piece comes with a complimentary mending promise. Send it back; we will restitch, replace elastic, or refresh hardware at no cost.
04
Circular return
Pieces beyond mending are accepted for upcycling into our Atelier line or shredded into new yarn through our fiber partner in Medellín.
05
Local first
Pattern cutting, sampling and 70% of production happen within 30km of our San José studio. Couriers are consolidated weekly to reduce footprint.
06
Transparent pricing
Each product page lists fabric origin, mill, and the country of make. We publish a yearly Atelier Report — quietly, on the Journal.
